Für die Verstärkung unseres Teams in unserem Büro über den Dächern von Potsdam suchen wir eine*n Frontend Developer / Entwickler*in.
Deine Aufgaben
  • Frontend-Entwicklung und -Wartung für Nutzer- und ML-Datenmanagement 
  • Interaktive Datenvisualisierungstools 
  • API Design und Entwicklung

Deine Qualifikationen
  • Bachelor-Abschluss in Informatik, Physik, Mathematik oder einem ähnlichen Fachgebiet, wobei fortgeschrittene Abschlüsse bevorzugt werden
  • 2+ Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Entwicklung von Frontend-Webanwendungen (RESTful APIs)
  • Fließende Beherrschung von semantischem HTML, CSS und JavaScript/TypeScript  und React
  • Erfahrung mit Test-, Build- und Deployment-Automatisierung
  • Leidenschaft für Benutzererfahrungen und das Wissen, wie man benutzerfreundliche und zugängliche Webanwendungen erstellt 
  • Fließendes Englisch in Wort und Schrift; deutsche Sprachkenntnisse sind ein großes Plus
  • Kenntnisse in einer Backend-Sprache (z.B. Python) sind ein Plus
  • Zusatzqualifikationen im Bereich Medien / Grafikdesign sind ein Plus

Die 4Cast GmbH & Co KG ist ein junges Joint Venture von Windkraft Pionieren und ML-Experten und der erste Ansprechpartner für Kurzfrist- als auch Langfrist-Prognosen.

Auf der einen Seite treibt 4cast Machine-Learning-basierte Prognosemethoden für den Energiemarkt voran und bietet ihre Fähigkeiten für die gezielte Softwareentwicklung an. Unser Ansatz setzt auf intelligente und adaptive Algorithmen. Präzise Ertragsvorhersagen sorgen dafür, dass erneuerbare Energien sinnvoll und nachhaltig auf den Markt gebracht werden können. Sowohl für die Industrie als auch für die Gesellschaft.

Auf der anderen Seite unterstützt 4cast Projektierer, Finanzierer oder Betriebsführende von Windparks. Wie kann eine Fläche optimal mit Windenergie genutzt werden? About the job
For the 2-year MAELSTROM EuroHPC research project (www.maelstrom-eurohpc.eu) we develop the Open Source end-to-end Machine Learning toolkit. The toolkit aims to let users manage and share their personal workflows on supercomputers, trained models and data in one place. Your work will help researchers perform their work more efficiently and shape how AI is used in weather and climate modeling.
Your tasks
  • Frontend development and maintenance for user and AI data management 
  • Interactive data visualization tools 
  • API design and development
Your profile
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or similar fields with advanced degrees preferred
  • 3+ years of professional experience in building frontend web applications (RESTful APIs)
  • Experience with test, build and deployment automation
  • Work permit for EU Countries is a must
  • Passion about user experience know how to build user-friendly and accessible web applications 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English; German language skills are a big plus
  • Knowledge of a backend language (e.g. Python) is a plus
  • Additional qualifications in the field of Media / Graphic Design are a plus
